Repeater Active; Becoming a More Active Ham

December 27, 2012

Although I still have not personally used it, several reports are that there is indeed a repeater active on 146.985 in Edinboro, PA, with a – offset and the typical 186.2 tone. Hop on and tell me what you think!

I am becoming a more active ham. I got a Kenwood TS-2000 “all-band” base rig for Christmas, and it is now programmed with the local repeaters. I need to get a connector for the 70 cm antenna connection so I’m not using 440 right now, but I am always on 2m and will be on 440 soon. Listen for KD2DAX on the area machines and give me a shout if you want!

Did you monitor anything interesting during the snowstorm? I didn’t hear much besides countless “DV’s” and “AA’s” but if you heard anything good let me know!
